This drama is set within the backdrop of an emergency room at a hospital. The one hour you have to save a person’s life after a traumatic injury is what emergency physicians call “golden time”. Lee Min Woo learns this all too quickly as he starts work as an emergency physician at an urban hospital. Kang Jae In is a first-year resident who discovers that she is the heiress to a foundation that owns the hospital. Can they learn to become great doctors from Dr. Choi In Hyuk, a renowned trauma surgeon who puts his patients before everything else in his life?

‘I became a doctor, what for?’
After graduated from medical college, instead of trying to apply to be a professional doctor, he worked as part-time instructor in the best oriental-medicine-clinic for 2 years.
He enjoyed life although his income comes by lending his certificate to clinic, because oriental physicians are not allowed by law to order CT or write prescriptions.
Until the momentum arrives when he started to ask himself the question ‘Why I have a doctor license?’ So, he decided to start life again by applying for some hospital as an intern.

‘Why should I?’ Why should I receive hospital that make me headache?’
She is the successor of one medical college and 5 hospitals. But, she still does not understand its meaning. Her only interest is the ex-playboy boyfriend who said good-bye to her.
When she know that she is inherited the position of hospital’s chairman, she falls in panic. ‘I don’t want big fortune. I don’t want burden or responsibility’
Finally, she starts to understand that the hospitals are under her will and responsibility. The hospitals will go depend on her will.
Choi Inhyuk (Master of interns, Icon of surgery for severely wounded patient)
‘Why I work for external-injury department?’
One of a-few-doctor who receives serious injured patient. Usual doctor does not want to care severely-injured-patient because there is a high risk of legal responsibility.
His major in medical school was ‘liver, gall and pancreas’, but, after he graduated as there was no place in hospital, he had started career in external-injury department.
Then, 8 year has passed. After finishing operation 3-4 days in a row without sleeping, his body is tearing down. But, he is a kind of person that, before leaving hospital to go home, he calls to emergency room to find out any other patient to start another operation.
Sin Euna (Nurse in external injury department)
Secretary and manager of Choi Inhyuk. She cares many things in department such as controlling schedules till carrying patient. She worked there for 8 years and started work with Choi Inhyuk since 2 years ago.
She has a boy friend who want to marry her, and the due date to leave for Canada with her boy friend comes near.
