Synopsis
Kwon Oh Bok (Kim So Eun) is a a 19-year-old young woman/orphan who refuses to give up her dream of becoming a top illustrator. Because she grew up poor (and is still struggling), she is extremely frugal, and maintains an optimistic outlook on things. Kwon Oh Bok has nothing that she can call her own in her life-time, not even the little room that she stays in. However, her hot temper will flares whenever she witness any injustice.

i watched this (subtitled) drama to the very end and really liked it, even though i’m a white male from california.
does anyone know any other korean dramas which feature the actress who played miran? i like the way she carries herself, and although she’s devious i just can’t help rooting for her!

I truly LOVED ‘Pure 19 and found Boys over Flowers ‘ to be very good. But this one was the best by far. Being an American I know what Keriban is talking about, that’s the beauty of it. There are no useless killings or sexual nudity along with many of the other things we are a custom too. I only wish for better translations and openness from the spouses and girlfriends/boyfriends.
I find Doklip annoying – he is always disappearing
and always crying — Miran is his mother, she didn’t
do anything to him and in a few months Obok and Doklip
are inseparably to the point of nausea.
I enjoy all the Korean Dramas and do like this one but
in America, the story line is a bit far-fetched.

I really love, enjoy and addicted watching this dramra. The story line is relistic and it does happen in the real life. I felt pity for Miran at first but I think what she and her parents did in order to win daehan and her son cannot be accepted. Daehan is quite weak for at times he just let himself been manipulated by Miran. Anyway, congratulations to the drector, actors and actresses involved. You keep me rooting to watch this drama till the end. All the best.

i read on facebook that miran gonna go overseas later on coz doklip told her that he doesn’t want miran to be his mother. and daehan got back with obok.
What happen in the end, did the hero go back to his ex girl. So curious to knoow the ending.
